I fished 615pm - 820pm. Air temp was upper 70s. Water temp was 59. Water was a little murky but a huge improvement over the previous day when it was muddy and unfishable. The flow was good.
There were a decent number of grannoms returning to lay eggs. I also saw Black Quill duns. About a half dozen fish rose periodically in the long, slow hole (maybe once every 5 minutes). I didn’t venture too far due to the limited time I had but it seemed like there were fish spread out quite nicely. I fished a streamer and caught 6 very healthy Browns. I trailed behind another fisherman that was also using streamers so I probably would have had more strikes if that wasn’t the case.
I ran into a very strange beaver that seemed to follow me around and do the tail splash thing in every hole I was fishing. He was going upstream so I moved down. Next thing you know he comes down to the next hole, 25 feet from me, splashed and submerges, surfaces 2 minutes later and does it again. I move down to next hole, pretty soon here he comes and repeats the process over. Very odd. Could have had some youngsters in a nearby bank den and didn’t like me being around.
The Eagle came over in the last hour of daylight.
