Time Fished: 100pm - 445pm
Weather Conditions: Cloudy, 70 degrees
Water Conditions: 59 degrees; very off color, Average flow
Insects: Couple March Brown, couple caddis, some medium size golden stone dries, few sulphurs; a few other small mayflies here or there
I got to the Special Regs area and the small parking lot was empty. I tied on a streamer and began to get strikes right away. There were some lulls in the action, but in just about every good looking spot a fish was ready to take a run at it. I caught 7 on streamers and one on a March Brown nymph. I lost about as many as I caught (far more than I usually lose) but missed as many as usual. Did notice a few rises. As I was walking out 2 other fishers were just getting started.
I've included a stream shot and the water looks a lot muddier than it actually was. The March Brown was just a stud as it flew right to me but unfortunately I snapped off both tail feathers when I caught it with my hand in mid-air.
