Fished the DHALO from 0500-0700. Found some fish, but missed some half-hearted strikes. There is a big brown sitting there that refused everything I had. Oh well. Water level and flow were good, water was very clear.

Met up with my brothers and dad and hit the ATW from 0730-1130. Water was still cool, but generally shollower than the DHALO. Caught a bunch of rainbows drifting SJ worms near dead fall and undercut banks. No love on nymphs. Saw a substantial 'bow cruise by in some deeper water and switched to a WB. Caught a few more, but not the big one.

Later in the morning something was starting to come off. I couldn't figure it out, but got some interest on a small black elk hair caddis. The strange thing was all the blowing cotton type stuff coming off some trees or bushes. It floated on the water and made it hard to track the fly. Never considered that problem before.

Had to leave before lunch, but would have liked to keep exploring. It was my first time there, seems heavily pressured, but plenty of space to spread out.

For those interested, my brothers did well with darker colored spinners in the faster water.
