Fished the Black Mo from about 2:30 til 5:00 yesteday afternoon. Started off with an Olive Scud pattern and rolled a few fish. Saw a lot of bug activity (Blue Quills and lots of Caddis flies). Witnessed a few fish sipping from the surface, so I tied on a #18 black bodied X-caddis. Ended up landing 7 fish (missed about 9-10 more) fishing various small caddis patterns. One fat stocked Brown ~15 in., as well as two beautiful wild browns that were around 11 in. This stream holds a ton of fish and doesn't get much fishing pressure b/c everyone heads to Spring, Penns or the Little J. If you plan on checking it out, bring a small rod (7' 3wt would be perfect) b/c there are a lot of tight areas, and don't get discouraged if your first trip doesn't produce good results. This stream is a lot different than the local freestone and spring creeks (color-wise).
