Cold and flurries and the midges were still in abundance. Saw probably 20 rises with alot feeding beneath. A nice pile of brookies were still spawning near the top. Saw the usual bombers in the Heritage area that always let me know I have a long way to go.
While scouting below the bridge there I saw a rainbow of at least 20" nymphing from about 50 ft away. Ofcourse thinking this is my shot I swung way around and as I was easing my way down to his location turned out he also moved up a little and as he tore off downstream with that big wake behind him it flashed thru my mind how nice it would be to have my line attached to him. I've had success here but nothing over 16" even though theres a lot of them. My great white whale it seems. A rainbow and a brown of 14" to 15" and let a couple dinks shake off. Didnt want the dinks to scare the big boys before I could.
