Fished big spring, upper mile of the stream, picking up multiple fish on scuds and midges. Fished both morning and evening til dark, but no major bug activity or rising trout to note. Fishing was very steady though. We were hoping to get into some sulphurs or anything, but were happy with what we got. Nothing big. We did pick up one large brookie (13") in the town of newville, but suspect it's a stocker from the fin appearance and coloration.
Fished letort in the afternoon. Fished low on the stream, and saw a few but nothing interested. Moved up to the park and TU lot, and the siltation was horrible. The water was also very muddy, I am guessing from the sinkhole repair but I am not certain. Overall not a very productive trip to the letort, and left a bad impression on a fishing buddy visiting for the first time.
Air temps were from mimd 60s up close to 90 mid day. Water temps were the normal for these 2 streams.
