Big Spring, Cumberland County, 9/24/12

Fished Big Spring yesterday from 1530 until 1730 water was at best murky from the construction going on at the bridge just below the ditch. Although there was a midge and sporadic caddis hatch there were no fish rising. I did manage a couple dink rainbow on a brass *** behind a tan caddis and a beautiful 14 or 15” rainbow on a Czech nymph.

Last time I was there I wanted to midge in the ditch but opted out due to the construction... hope their done soon.

Someone indicated that there was a regulation change on Big Spring allowing spin fishing in the C&R area. Is this true?

No.
Spin fishing is allowed in the C&R area of Yellow Breeches but this has been the case for thirty years.
