Fished BS for the first time yesterday from about 5-7 pm. At Fishidiot's suggestion I used a sculpin pattern. Toward sunset a few small fish started rising to midges but I stuck with the sculpin, I didn't go there for small fish. Several small brookies attacked the sculpin in the ditch and I drew a large one out from under a log but he didn't take. Missed a huge brookie, 14"+, below the ditch and that turned out to be my best chance at catching one of the famous big spring brookies. Even though I didn't land any I could still see that the colors on those fish are truly amazing! It was not a total loss by any means. Loved the area and the stream. I did eventually land a small wild rainbow around 7". The larger bows were not interested or saw me coming.I have never seen water that clear in my life.
