I was out yesterday twice, once in the late morning between 10:30am and 12:00pm. Lost one very nice rainbow and missed 6 others. I couldn't believe how aggressive the fish were. I then went out in the late evening and fished from the wooden bridge up to the bridge just below the ditch, lost another rainbow in the 10-12inch range and that was the only strike I had that outing. Wonderful outside though, almost no one on the stream. All strikes were on a very heavily weighted black bead head bugger that I tie on a size 10 3x nymph hook. I don't own a thermometer but it in the morning it was warmer in the water than outside on the bank.
I am going to try to get out today (Sunday) to try same areas with different flies.
