Fished from 645am to 815am. Water temp was 66. There were small numbers of caddis working the riffles but no rises. I swung a string of 3 wets and caught a rainbow on a March brown (top fly). Had a really nice rainbow hooked (15 inches?), but it tossed the fly on jump #3. Switched to a streamer and landed a 14" smallie. Caught about 5 chubs, which is unusual, so I think this area was holding few trout. I generally do much better here at this same time of year. But with the water at 66 at 7am it was likely going to peak over 70 later today.
