Time Fished:
On Friday, I fished the evening hours 0600 PM until 0800 PM, and yesterday, I fished 0330 PM-0530 PM.

Water Conditions:
The stream looked to be in great shape. The recent rains have kept a good flow through the mini canyon, and the water temps are nice and cool. The water was very clear both days.

Hatches:
The Hendricksons were the biggest menu item, but I observed many overlapping hatches both days. I noticed some tan caddis around size 16, some yellow crane flies, and a steady dose of midges.

Results:
I had not fished the mountain streams for a while, so I decided to fish Big Hunting for a couple short trips. Dry dropper tactics worked well, but the fish required some stealth. A parachute red quill with a soft hackle dropper did the job, and I would estimate that I brought close to two dozen trout to hand. Mostly small browns in the 6-8 inch range, a few stocked rainbows. The biggest was around 11 inches, and he slid over and slurped by dry less than a foot of water on the backside of a nice sized boulder.

Big Hunting continues to fish well with the same tactics described. I have been working my way upstream, and all sections are producing very similar. I got my biggest brown in a while out of there today, It took a soft hackle dropper near the back of a nice run. Beautiful stream with beautiful trout!!!!
