I apologized for the delayed report, but I've been a little busy lately. Regardless, a friend and I made it out to Big Hunting Creek this weekend in search of some wild browns. The recent rain and runoff had the stream levels up and the water was stained, but there was about 3 foot of visibility. The air temperature was in the mid 60s and I did not get an accurate water temp. The hatches were pretty good with black stones, midges, brown stones and some BWOs despite the blue sky conditions.

We did not see any rising trout and for the most part we caught all our fish swinging streamers down and across with an erratic retrieve. We caught a good number of fish between the two of us despite the heavy fishing pressure. The fish were pretty aggressive, but they only averaged about 7-8 inches, which I am not complaining about. The coloration on the fish also appeared a bit washed out, but they were still very beautiful. Overall, it was a beautiful day and a great little trip.

Very nicely colored fish. Love the brite adipose and red stroke on the tail edge. Good report!
