Time Fished: 1100am - 200pm
Weather Conditions: 64 cloudy changing to Sunny
Water Conditions: clear 55 degree
Insects: very few bugs

When I arrived conditions were pretty nice for mid-day. Only a few vehicles on the section presumably due to the local landowner request of no Sunday fishing. I fished state land. I went to a nice riffle and saw no bugs and no rises so I put on a Caddis, since they have worked well in the past. First cast I caught a nice brown and that made me believe I was in for a double digit day. But the result of my first cast was just dumb luck.

I was able to bring up several trout in that riffle, some took and I missed, while others refused. Anyway that trout made the stop on my way to weeklong fishing in NCPA all worth it.

I moved to my second favorite riffle and it fished better but the trout were smaller. I landed 3 brown and 2 brook in that run. They were doing a little rising on their own but I brought up most of the fish.

In the area between those 2 riffles I brought up very little despite the water being pretty nice.

I tried several dries with Caddis and BWO being the primary fish catchers. I need to spend a whole day on BFC sometime.
