That drive from Kettle was gorgeous, winding through the valley of the West Branch of the mighty Susquehanna! arrived near Lamar around 1130 and fished a couple hours in the hot sticky air which had reached around 75 by then. I tried to work the shady areas. No water temp taken. The water was pretty clear, but had that Fishing Creek chalk stain in certain areas. It was on the low side, particularly compared to Jamboree flows which is what I am used to fishing. Other than midges running along the surface, I saw very little mayfly activity other than some blue quills or dark olives. There were some smaller caddis mixed in as well. No risers, no other catches except these couple photos.

How many geese can you spot in the photo?

Hit some quality streams there Jack. Warm up for the jam?

It was my brief tour of famous streams. As a warmup, it sucked because there was no rain until after I left.

I see 6... 2 gosslings.

A winner! There were a few more babies, but they aren't visible: probably tucked behind that grass
