Fished from 6:30 ‘till 8:30, water still a little high but clear. It looked like March browns coming off but not ‘till almost 8 PM. Not much doing on my version of a March brown nymph and dry so I tried a tandem of Mike Heck’s Sulphur Nymph and Pheasant Tail size 14s. Caught fish the whole evening on Mike’s Nymph until my thingaambobber tangled my leader and it was too dark to fix and too late to change. All were stocked Rainbow with none bigger than 15” but had a good outing with the creek all to myself.
Gonna tie some more of Mikes flies and read the rest of his book to get ready for the Trico’s

Tight Lines,
Buffalo

What is a Mike's nymph? Got a pattern for them? I am not sure what they look like.

Thanks
