Someone on this forum will help you out..
I would if I was closer. This is an awesome group of people that are always willing to help.

Depending on your location I would be more than happy to help you out. Lehigh Valley has some decent learning water.

Dude, just get out there. Go to a pond and cast for bluegills or fish a stocked trout stream. Someone will probably reach out and take you out, but don't delay and wait for them.

I did go out a few times but just found myself using the wiggly worm and fishing it like a spinning reel. I’d like to learn the proper techniques for fly fishing using flies never did it before

YouTube any techniques that you’re interested in using.

Buy a few woolly buggers, some adams dry flies, and some pheasant tails. Grab some indicators and put a pheasant tail under it and go start trying to chuck it around and get a good drift. You'll catch fish eventually.

Great advice. I went way overboard when I started. Someone please get me all of my wasted money back! Keep it simple, a few drys, a few nymphs and definitely a few wooly buggers and go have fun
