Time Fished: 1000am - 100pm
Weather Conditions: early 55 degrees and cloudy, turned to 70 degrees and sunny
Water Conditions: 54 degrees, clear
Insects: there was an occasional insect but very few
Fished the Barnhart Pool. With the lack of insects I only saw about 8 different fish rise. The fish in the slower water would only look. The riffle fish were more aggressive but were not pushovers. I caught a brown on a Paraleptophlebia and a brown and a rainbow on a sz14 rusty spinner. We caught our fish in the riffle. It was a nice hole. The slow part of the hole still has a good flow and the current can be tricky. We found it easy to wade. I would fish it again.

Time Fished: 500pm - 800pm
Weather Conditions: 55 degrees, low clouds, occasional rain, very windy
Water Conditions: 54 degrees, clear
Insects: Several different insect types but low volume.
Fished the Cemetery Pool. Easy to wade.
About a 20 yd walk from parking lot through the bamboo. Some fish were rising right there. The weather conditions (heavy wind) eliminated any chance of a spinnerfall. There was some hatching occurring but it was very limited. I only saw about 30 fish rise in a very long stretch of water, probably 150 yards.
When we arrived, I was able to bring a couple fish up by probing the edges of upper riffle area. I missed both. I fished the top end quite a long time with no more luck. A couple other anglers came to the pool but they only fished for an hour. I worked the stretch from the riffle all the way down to the path with a dry fly and never brought up a fish. I switched flies and reversed direction and got the same results. Since there was so little surface activity I tried a streamer and had no strikes. I started to tie on 2 wet flies but had some issues so I quit for the night. I would fish it again.
None of us landed a fish. A fellow I talked to earlier in the day told me he and a buddy caught 0 in the cemetery hole the night before we fished it.

Time Fished: 445om - 615om. Cemetery Pool
Time Fished: 645pm - 725pm Barnhart Pool
Weather Conditions: cloudy 64 degrees
Water Conditions: 55 degrees, very off color 4’ visibility
Insects: small BWO but not much.
I wanted to fish the Barnhart pool but 3 trucks arrived just ahead of me so I went elsewhere.
I ended up at the Cemetery Pool.
The water level was high but it was easy wading by shore since I had been there before. The last time I fished the cemetery pool the trout were positioned middle to opposite shore. So I targeted those areas with my casts. However the strikes I was getting were on my side of middle with some extending into thigh deep water. Seemed like trout wanted to find softer water. The other shore was probably stacked heavier than the near shore. There were a cluster of fish in a 20 yard stretch so I fished that spot 4 times and got 3 browns on 15 strikes.

On my way back to unite with our group on the Willowemoc, I drove past this hole and no one was there. I decided to make one streamer pass starting from about 40 yards from the top of the riffle all the way down to the trail. Caught 0 on 4 strikes. All strikes were in the middle to the near side. Nothing on the far shore.
