I too kinda wondered how you managed a 20 mile round trip hike in BESF. There was only really one place where I thought that may be possible, depending on how you approach it, but Moyers Mill wasn’t it.
I fished Moyers Mill once, was a one and done for me too. Pretty rhodo choked, was expecting to find a mix of Browns and Brookies, but only turned up dink Brookies. Was a fairly nice mid-Winter day and it was nice to be out in the woods, but the fishing wasn’t worth the effort IMO. I did it parking at the top of the mountain on 235 on the west end of the drainage. Hiked the intermittent flowing trib that comes in from the west. No trail, but it was easy walking through fairly open woods IIRC, until I got down to the main stem of Moyers Mill, which was surrounded by rhodo. Maybe 2 miles round trip doing it that way.
How’d you do it exactly?
Edit: My bad, missed your post above explaining.
