Fished Aughwick Creek for 2 hours today. Air temp was 62*, water was 50*.

It was the closest stream to where I was and with the time I had available. Was hoping it was a lightly traveled blue line. It is not. What I did find was a free stone stream with some March Brown activity. First hour, I had one hookup, maybe a 5-6” native or could have been a chub, I could not ID. Was using an Adams parachute. I fished a really promising hole with zilch luck. Crossed creek and sat down to contemplate what wasn’t happening.

Looked down and there was a pod of fish that I assumed were suckers. Funny, they were all pointing downstream from the surface current flow. Studying them a bit more, was able to make out Brook trout intermingled with some suckers. Floated sucker egg, wax worm imitation and a streamer for a total of six stockies from that hole. Turned out to be a fun day.
