My brother and I went up to Appenzel Creek Sunday morning, sulphurs were out but not alot. Trout hitting something we couldn't see, would'nt touch sulphur imitations. Put on cdc caddis and started picking up fish. I lost a nice brown when trying to corral him(no,I don't think we need a net) the tippet wrapped around the reel and he dove one last time SNAP! When we got down to the bridge we caught 3 more then headed for Tobyhanna.

That's 4 miles of "Class A" water going through 92% private/open land, 8% private/closed. Did you encounter many signs? Also, do you feel comfortable fishing private water even though it's "open"? I always feel on edge when it's not State Game Lands/Forest.

Where we parked at the bridge the one side of the creek was someones property, the other side was woods. We walked in the woods, encountered one old camp(unoccupied?) and further down there was a house up on a hill. We walked the edge of the woods (which was thick) and the edge of his property. The only sign we saw was on the property at the bridge. We fished our way back up to the bridge. To tell the truth I didn't realize about the private /open spaces. I'm used to wilderness streams where thats not an issue.
