Great idea. I’ll be picking one up at Staples tomorrow.I have a very strong neodymium magnet on a cord that sits near my bench to search for dropped hooks.
There is also one of these on my bench so I don't get fur balls in my gut or hooks in my tongue:

My wife cut herself pretty good. When the ER dr. was "glueing" her cut, I asked what the difference was between "medical super glue" and otc glue, he said "about a hundred dollars!".There are medical grade CA's which are tested more stringently. If I was inclined to use CA frequently for the wound closure, I'd have a bottle of it close by however...
CA is only recommended when a would is small, not very deep or wide; not "dirty" or prone to infection; and not on highly mobile parts, such as joints.
FWIW - After busting a glass coffee press carafe and cutting the living $#!+ out of my thumb, causing an decent sized avulsion, I was introduced to Steri-Strips. I now have some in all of my first aid kits.
I glued a strip of those onto my vise base for holding beads and hooks. The strip also does a good job of catching the stuff I inevitably drop.Great idea. I’ll be picking one up at Staples tomorrow.
I have the longer retractable magnet on my bench. These little magnetic pick up tools work well. I can use the smaller one to pick up hooks that are close at hand, or use the larger retractable one to pick up hooks dropped on the floor if I’m too lazy to get down to reach them.
