Stags,

You wrote "fished from the white bridge down into the park". If you mean you were literally fishing "downstream", then you won't see fish and sure as hell won't catch any. They are there in numbers, though I never fish in the "Park". I absolutely believe you must fish upstream on Valley unless the water is high and, even then, I never fish in a downstream direction. I'll send a PM later today.
Lol ... Yea I think Stags got it but I definitely did a really poor job communicating! :hammer:

Those were the areas I covered .... began above dam and fished up to the White Bridge ......then walked all the way down 252 ... crossed 23, headed in under the bridge, hiked abt another 1/2 mile (if I had to guess) down stream and began to work up .... ended my afternoon at the Dam. Look forward to PM

I had a blast last night at Valley. Landed 5 all on a tan caddis, one was really nice. My 11 yr old got skunked thou. I really need to get him a fish there. He spooks many. Trying to get him to understand he needs to stalk from below and be very quiet. Lots of fish. They were all over the top just before dusk. Did not see any bug activity though. I love that stream. Beautiful fish. Last week we saw a couple in the 20's inside the Park. One was mid 20's easy so there are some big fish in there too. Might have to try a mouse at night. ;-)

Yo lo

re "Might have to try a mouse at night" - the NPark is closed at night. Too bad, because even bass bugs down there at night in the summer produced those 2 footers.

That's only if you get caught. My car could always break down on 252. 🙂
