4 Mile Run, Westmoreland County

Fished 4 Mile Run near Harbor Inn the first day for a few hours. Suprisingly not all that crowded - probably due to a combination of weather as well as less area to park and more posted ground the past couple years. Caught about a half dozen on weenies, red San Juan worms, and glo bugs. Actually did not even have my gear ready, so I was not even tied on when 8 AM hit...Water was up a little, of course, but that stream is better when it is a little high. Bait fisherman did pretty well also with maggots, redworms, and minnies. Most people were gone by 11 AM, so should be plenty of fish left....We could not figure out why we were catching some large Brookies until we had heard that one of the camps upstream had stocked some for the kids to catch and they washed downstream.
