The Compara-Hatch pocket size field guides were issued by Caucci/Nastasi in 1972. They consist of a 60 page booklet that provides detailed information on 10 common eastern mayflies, their behavior, habitat and identification, and the author’s fly patterns to fish for them (notably including their Compara-dun patterns that were new at that time). It also includes a condensed booklet (appears to possibly be waterproof paper) of these same mayflies, including the fly patterns designed to imitate them.

These booklets are in excellent, close-to-new condition. They do, however, include an ownership sticker on the cover showing they are from my library (I have blacked out my name on pictures). My wife, an artist, made these for me many years ago and I normally put them inside most of my books.)

I will sell these 2 guides together for $50.00. (Not many of them come to market. A new set of these 2 guides recently sold on EBay for $75.00, while another with only the 60 page booklet sold for $45.00). They can be picked up in New Holland, PA, or nearby in Lancaster, or I’ll ship them in the US for the actual shipping cost, and paid by PayPal.

Please send me a private message here to arrange purchase or with any questions.

Thanks, John

I’d really like to move these, so for a short time I’ll sell them here, to established members only, for $25.00, with the same conditions for pickup or shipment I described before.

If no one here wants them within the next several days I’ll list them for sale elsewhere. Thanks.

Dear mt_flyfisher,

If you can wait a couple of days for me to pick them up, I will take them. I'll come get them by Saturday at the latest.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂
