Only a few streams in the NEPA that produce fish like that consistently. No worries! We know 😉

If you want to test your knowledge of "cookie cutters," you can PM me and I'd tell you, but then you might be wrong, and I'm not sure if it's what you were after in the first place.... Might just be nicer to be right in your own head, I guess.

When good fish are feeding with reckless abandon, it’s usually because something somewhat unusual is happening- bigger/more vulnerable bugs in the system, water clarity and levels giving them a heightened sense of safety, or maybe your approach is just singularly dialed in to target that exact bite. Either way, I’m sticking around until I can’t make anything else happen for at least an hour or two.
Would you walk away from a poker table where your opponent keeps going all in with a pair of 5’s? Those are great fish, but I’ll bet there are some 2x that size in the waterway somewhere.

The answer is the always ambiguous "depends". Strictly personal answer tied to your appetite that needs satiating. A man should always understand his personal limit on when enough is enough, not knowing that is what leads many a man into trouble. 🙂

I guess that’s a way to look at it.
All I’m saying is that I’ve read post after post on this forum lately from guys pissing and moaning about how this April and May have been the “worst flyfishing season in recent memory” (it hasn’t) that it would make sense to hang around while the casino is loose rather than quitting after a few fish.
The things I do *off the water* are far more likely to get me in trouble 🤣

So, I don't disagree with @DomR at all. I seriously debated going home, which was how this post idea started, and I have done so in the past.
As I think I noted, I changed location early, or "moved to a new casino" to test my luck. I won there too, so it was just one of those days when things were right.
