Are you going for a sliding action with a bit of vertical movement? It seems like that would activate the tail nicely and imitate in injured baitfish..

honestly, i hear of a new to me pattern here on the site and if i look at it and think its got potential, i tie some up and see if it becomes a standard in my arsenal. haven't had a chance to try these yet as the river just wants to stay high, but next week looks like they'll get an opportunity to swing in the currents of the Delaware.

The action is better than a live minnow being chased by a smallie! Did you make your own tails or get them from a shop?

made my own from the glitter felt sheet material from Michael's. made up some templates for different sizes. did clawdad templates too.

The Belgrade is very similar to another Maine pattern, the Parmachene Belle. The Belgrade has a butt of black chenille while the Parmachene Belle is tied with a black ostrich herl butt, though that is not the only difference.
