Body - Silver tinsel

Wing - A small bunch of white bucktail extending beyond the bend of the hook (or hooks, if in tandem), over which are three medium green saddle hackles tied on flat, over which are two natural black hackles tied on upright.

Cheek - Jungle ****

Tups indispensable wet fly tied on a size 14 hook. This is a really old English pattern created way back in the 1890’s with an interesting history. I’ve never tied or fished this pattern before but I’m hoping to add it to my wet fly rig this season when the sulphurs start popping and the trout are working the upper water column. I’m sure it’ll net a few fish.

Unfortunately, all of my planned sulphur fishing outings were totally blown out this Spring, so I didn’t have a chance to really test it out.

No bead, I just finished the fly with Veevus 8/0 fluorescent orange thread and Solerez bone dry.
