Hello everyone

I will be at work event for a month starting mid October down outside of Raleigh N.C...I am planning on spending my weekends over in the mountains. I have began to look at maps and there is a lot of water. I was wondering if anyone has any experience down there and had any good recommendations for any certain creeks or areas. I don’t mind a hike and hope to split my time in smaller streams chasing natives, hoping they won’t be spawning yet, and maybe on some of the bigger water. If anyone has any recommendations that would be greatly appreciated

Cherokee is a good spot to start. Heavily stocked streams on the reservation.

Check Tennessee out as you are close by their streams. GG

Tstooge...Will send PM when I have more time in next few days. I have spent a lot time down that way. I will get you pointed in the right direction.

Wild_trourer I appreciate that...looking into
a couple areas like to hear what you have to say

I stayed in Cherokee a few years back. While there I rafted the Nantahala, it is a beautiful river and seemed to have a lot of fish. If I am ever down that way again, I will definitely fish it.

Maybe others here have some experience fishing it.
