I just tie a thread body and tie in a little wisp CDC as a wing and trim it for my size #26 - 30 flies.

The author ties parachute flies down to size 30.......to each his own....

My old eyes can't see size 26-30 hooks let alone tie on them.

I stopped tying smaller than 20s a few years ago but I do like to use midge jaws for 16-20 even though not really necessary. I just upgraded my Regal to the stainless steel jaws which give extra room to work. I could tie a 32 on it if I really wanted to but I don't want to.
