Anyone familiar with this shop? Im in need of a new rod and am French Creek Outfitters didn't have what i wanted.

Im looking for a 3WT rod, preferably a 3PC or 4PC and in else fails, a 2PC. For no more then $200.

If need be i can also deal with a 4WT rod in preferably 3PC, 4PC or 2PC For around $100-$150

I already have a Battenkill BBS II lined with 3WT line which is why the 3WT rod is preferred.

If need be i can sell that and get a new reel to go with the 4WT.

PS. Any other ships in the king of prussia area that might have this criteria? Tried Orvis in plymouth, but pretty expensive.

Hi mute - Outdoorsman816 from this site works there. He's a good guy, and he'd help you for sure. Ask for Lenny....

Winston's Passport series rod should fit the bill for you, and it has received high reviews. TCO is a Winston dealer, but I don't know if they have that rod in stock.

LL Bean has the old Streamlights on clearance in Center Valley.

Mute- there are some nice guys who work in Bryn Mawr so it wouldn't be a bad visit to do. The shop tends to run higher in $$ with what they stock but I have been there and there has been stuff for sale. It's funny,I live about a 1/2 mile from the shop and don't buy much there, and not for any specific reason. Again, nice guys in there.

Are you looking for any specific length?

I LOVE my Echo Carbon 8' 4wt, and they make that model in a 6'6'' and 7'6'' 3wt or a 8', 8'6'', and 9' 4 wt.

Not sure if it'll be in any shops in the area. I got mine on Cabela's

Mute,
What length 3 weight are you looking for? Is it strictly Euro Nymphing or will you fish dries also? That is going to be an indicator of how much and what you can get.If I may suggest ,A small stream rod for that money with nice reel rod case included multiple piece,Cortland Brook 6'6" 3wt 4 pc,and a 7' 3wt 4 pc both can be found for 179.95 plus shipping & tax.Flyfisher's Paradise has em if out of stock they can get em for you lickety split. You can save if you go pick it up then go fish a few lil streams near their shop .

P.S. not sure if you can get a 10' 3 wt for Euronymphing or Highsticking for under 200 clams, but for a lil more you can get a really great rod for approx 210.00 its a great Euronymphing stick, Its a Grey's Streamflex ,they have revamped this rod series this year and they are now called Streamflex XF2 andd are even offered in a 11' 3 wt as well as a 11' 4 wt and they still offer their 10' footers from 3 wts up to 5 wt. they are 329.00. Greys has earned a loyal following overseas and is a subsidiary of Hardy. Here in the U.S. they have begun to really catch on with this series.

Yea mute, TCO is about 2 miles from me, but I've only been in there maybe 4 or 5 times. Too rich for my blood. I just got a little 7' 3wt (4pc) St Croix Imperial for $190 at Cabela's. I love this rod!

What are you looking for exactly? Length, action and intended use will determine what I would recommend.

Intended uses are mainly nymphing with a thingamabobber. Mostly tandem fly rigs in 1-4 feet of water. 99% roll casts no more then 25 feet. Need nothing shorter then 6' to 8'.

Im coming from a LINE WEIGHT 3 6' 3" 3-PIECE rod which i had no problems with, besides sometimes wanting it a foot longer for better line control. But other then that, and losing half the rod, in the market for a new one.

thats my main shop, they got a real nice sage 3wt 4 pc for just around 2 maybe 225 max i think, im positive they have nice 3wt i was looking at them last week i think its a 7'6, you should check it out its a nice shop

They are $200 and very highly rated unlike the horrific model that preceded it (see tap handle we discussed).
