I never thought of any class associations when writing "sulphur."

And I don't think others do either.

"Sulphur" just seems to be the most commonly used spelling in flyfishing writing, and I think that has been the case for a long time.

I agree that neither spelling is wrong, though.

 
When I was at the jam this year I did get a cool picture of a sulphur nypmh. Underside and topside.
