Anyone ever try to catch big striper on the fly, on Saturday me and some friends will be off point pleasant NJ looking to catch some good slot striper. I've done some keys fishing and there moto is if it swims in the water you can catch it on the fly. Bone fish are possibly the coolest fish ive ever caught on the fly. Also caught massive (150-170lb) tarpon on spinning gear.

Stripers hit flies as well or better than any fish out there including trout and smallies. I have caught over 100 on a single tide change multiple times.

I do a lot of Striper fishing on the fly. It’s pretty much the only way I fish for them now. My methods vary depending on whether I am fishing in the back bays or up front in the surf. Lots of fun. Shoot me a PM if you need any info.
