Stick with warm water?

Last week Jules and me went over to YB to see if we could catch a trio hatch. We started at before daylight, it was still way to hot to be out there. I only lasted around 2 hours, before the heat got to me. I got deydrated(sp) from the sweating and got pretty sick,, I won't do that again.

So I think I'll wait till some cooler weather get here. Not a good time for us old guys to be out there. So be careful out there!

Steve,

The Gun is OK to fish. Went there yesterday and fished above and below Falls Road bridge from 6:30 to 11:00. When I entered the stream, water temp. was 51 degrees and 55 when I left. the fish were keying on small nymphs, size 24 to 28.

Dale, thanks for the update. My brother will be in town tomorrow visiting my Mom and we might swing by in the evening to check it out.

So you guys were right...I was able to fish with my brother on the Gunpowder for about an hour yesterday evening. Temp was 56, fish were agressive and feisty. I landed 3, he landed 2. It was actually a pleasant evening, as the heat wave has officially ended. I think he was using a pheasant tail in a 14, I was using a bead head pheasant tail soft hackle in a 16.

And don't worry...he'll disinfect his gear as soon as he gets back to State College!
