Riverfront campground Duncannon pa

It's a hole.

Ferryboat Campground is just north on rt 15 and is much much much nicer.

Dear moosehunter,

Think warm Bud Lights, Marlboro's, and 6 fingered banjo pickers and you'll have the gist of it.

On the plus side it's been "Spring Cleaned" twice already by flood waters.

Tim Murphy 🙂

Dear moosehunter,

By boat is it ok to assume that a canoe or kayak would work for you? I hope so because those are likely your only choice for a rental on the Susquehanna. I am not aware of anyone who rents powerboats for the Susky.

You don't say where you will be coming from or where you would like to float the river but if something reasonably close to Harrisburg will work for you I have a place to recommend.

Try Blue Mountain Outfitters in Marysville. They rent canoes and kayaks and provide shuttles and everything necessary for a day or a week on the river.

I'm not sure if these people rent, but if you want to be further south on the Susky google "Shank's Mare" and they can help you find someone who will accomodate you. They are located below Wrightsville in York County.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

I have stayed there many times. No, it's not the Holliday Inn, but it serves it's purpose with a great location. You can get pretty much what you need there to fish that river. There's a couple of ramps for access as well. They will run you upstream for float trips (canoe/kayak) if you want. You would have to check on prices. Don't forget, it's strictly catch and release up there now.
