Where does the PFBC claim this information? The PAFB Comm is. I'm still waiting for you to share your source to back up your logical thinking. 😉

Your deflection shows me your logical thinking and reasoning prowess holds no water. For the THIRD time, can you show me proof there are other states with more wild trout stream miles than PA. I won't be holding my breath.Where does the PFBC claim this information?

And thats the truth !!!!!It's not how most fisheries agencies operate. Most fisheries agencies are run by fisheries biologists. I was told that PA is the ONLY state that operates this way.
Does the PFBC count wild rainbows in its totals?Nice try with post #84, but what you shared includes salmon. We're talking about wild TROUT streams. Sorry, your rebuttal remains weak.
You'd have to contact the PFBC to get the answer on wild rainbows, but what difference would that make in reference to wild trout stream miles?Does the PFBC count wild rainbows in its totals?
I’ll never know, because you haven’t actually posted anything proving your statement.
I’ve yet to find any mention of this claim in any official capacity, aside from a few ten cent outdoor writers columns. You'd have to contact the PFBC to get the answer on wild rainbows, but what difference would that make in reference to wild trout stream miles?
What, you think I just pulled that PA wild trout stream mileage thing out of thin air? 🙂My tolerance with you has come to a screeching halt. Enjoy your evening.
Having a difference of opinion and pointing out factual errors is now considered being difficult and passive aggressive?Just effing stop. This is becoming ridiculous. Cznymph is doing his as per usualam... being difficult, passively aggressive while staying between the white lines in the road, and others taking the bait. Just stop.
Did you see any native brookies, or was it all browns?
If stocking is ended, that might lead to an increase in brook trout. I think we've seen that in some streams with mixed populations. Such as upper Kettle Creek and some Kettle Creek tributaries. Slate Run and its headwater tributaries too. There was a bigger gallery than anticipated and we weren't really close enough to see everything. I heard them mention at least one native Brookie being captured and I would presume that more than that were caught, but keep in mind that this was section 4 and that there would be far more Brookies in each of the other sections, especially 1 and 2 which are far upstream of where they sampled while I was there. I understand that they also were intending to do section 3 yesterday, but I couldn't stay for that.
Isn't stocking already ended there? I thought it was all about possibly stocking it again. If stocking is ended, that might lead to an increase in brook trout. Like I mentioned above there has been a kids derby on section 4 behind Austin school since 2022. They stock 600 rainbows for the derby. So, maybe a better way to phrase it may be to say" increase in stocking" or" official PFBC stocking".Isn't stocking already ended there? I thought it was all about possibly stocking it again.
I would imagine quite a few stocked rainbows too? I have a cabin within walking distance from section 4 and when I fished it last month caught more than a few stockers well below the derby site. There was a bigger gallery than anticipated and we weren't really close enough to see everything. I was under the impression, after conversation with John Harmon, that only brown trout would be prohibited from harvest. Thus no protections awarded to the brook trout. There was a bigger gallery than anticipated and we weren't really close enough to see everything. The sooner we eliminate those minnows the betterI was under the impression, after conversation with John Harmon, that only brown trout would be prohibited from harvest. Thus no protections awarded to the brook trout.
