Paflyfish Spring Jamboree 2025 - Save The Date

The Mods and I wanted to share that we have set the dates as Friday, May 16 - Sunday, May 18. More details will follow with a formal announcement later. I have talked to Jake at Seven Mountains and we are all set for the weekend. Heads up there was some conversation with Jake about a new numbering scheme for the cabins and camping areas. For example you may need to ask and confirm your cabin location as the map on the site may not be correct.

My attendance is likely. Wife has foot surgery beforehand and will be in a boot. If she can get around ok I'm good to go, and we do expect her to be. Also, baseball. Games are scheduled for Wednesday and Monday. But if there are rainouts between now and then they could get rescheduled for Fri or Sat.
Assuming I come, my 10 year old son will likely join me, at least for Saturday.

Went ahead and booked Thurs-Sun. Will be in a tent this year, but I booked one of the RV sites right by the pavilion (site 47). I figured get up away from the swamp they call tent sites, closer to bathrooms, wood, and festivities. No worries about noise complaints from my site. Plus if the boy conks out early he can go sleep and I'm still right there.

Dear Board,

Given the recent rain events, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in float tubing at maybe Colyer Lake or Sayers Dam? If so, I can bring an extra float tube, fins, and a PFD for someone to use.

Just thought I'd make the offer.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

That might not be a bad plan, and I might be interested. I've never used a float tube, but I could bring my canoe. I like using those.

There are some nice chain picks in Colyer these days.

Caught a chain pickerel in Penns last year. I may bring a tube and fins as well. JIC
