Apparently the USDA has proposed eliminating roadless protections in national forests.

Sadly, this doesn't surprise me. It's just the beginning of things to come with this administration. I'll leave it at that.

I'm trying to stay apolitical. However it's potentially an environmental disaster. Most "wild fires" are man made. Sparks caused by dragging chains, truck tire blow outs, exhaust sparks, campsites near roads, cigarettes tossed from windows. Not to mention the runoff from roads. I think about Cedar Run after a 20 minute heavy rain turning to coffee.
