I was out on the stream last night and got buzzed (but not bitten) by my first skeeter of the season. What works for my family gene pool is Vitamin B - when I take some the day of or before ffishing, mosquitos don't bother me.

Might work for some of y'all.

Just got me a thermo cell. Works dandy but vitamin B is cheaper thanks for sharing.

Interesting. I usually just use high DEET repellants but this might be easier. Have there been scientific studies verifying this link to Vitamin B?

I can tell you it works -I am a believer.

Just fer a second I had high hopes....

BUT...that being said...if it works for you...no harm done...me, I'll continue to reek of Deep Woods Off

I'm lucky they don't like me as much as they like my friends and family, guess i'm lucky or i stink like something they don't like.I wonder if this holds true for ticks as well.

While I get eaten up by mosquitos I have never found a tick on me. For whatever reason ticks just don't like me.

I've had the same experience. They only times I've even seen a tick is on freshly killed game. However, I am usually wearing long pants or waders when in areas known to have ticks so very few are likely to get onto my skin I suppose.
