I have been fishing the Missouri River below Holter Dam in Wolf Creek, MT almost every year since 1995. One year the river was blown out and I fished the Beaverhead Valley. Anyway I know the six mile section from Holter Dam to Craig as good as anyone and have caught hundreds of big wild browns and rainbows there on dries.

Up until last week I had the entire trip planned and had two partners that were going with me. One flying out and the other driving out. Well since last week both have backed out of the trip. I'm now looking for another partner to help with the expenses.. I had booked a large bungalow, that sleeps three, that if I'm alone I no longer need.

I'm looking for a partner to split 50/50 on the car and at least 1/3 of the lodging for the trip. I'm going out for ten (10)days but if someone is interested, but can't do ten days, then I'd consider a partner for seven (7) days. Licenses are available in two day increments or a ten (10) license that costs $50.00

I am flying out Tuesday June 25 @ 4:00 p.m. afternoon from Baltimore/Washington (BWI) at 4:00 and arrive in Helena at 9:00 p.m. I have a room reserved. Wednesday we could be on the water by 10:00 a.m. casting to big rising trout. I have my own pontoon boat out there and access to another that whoever joins me can use for a very modest fee. I am returning Saturday July 06 and arrive BWI @ 3:16 p.m.

If anyone has interest please PM me and I'll give you my phone number so we can discuss this trip in greater detail. A ball park cost would be $1300 - $1400 for ten days all expenses except alcohol. As of yesterday afternoon Expedia.com had tickets on sale for this flight at $570 round trip.

This is an outstanding fishery and I know it intimately. I have all the top flies to catch big fish all day long - anyone interested should have good line management skills and be able to cast 25' accurately.

BTW the attached pictures are what I would consider just a wee bit larger than average. I have caught much larger fish, on dries, 21" - 24" but most of my files are too big to post up. Pic "Big Boy" is over 21".

Here are a few Missouri River trout;

Hey Matt....sounds like a great trip! The Mo is my favorite river to fish out there. You may want to post the dates of the trip. Good luck.

Amazing sounding trip. I wish you luck in finding a partner. I am sure whoever decides to take you up on the trip will have the fishing experience of their life. Good Luck!

Wildtrout2,

"June 25 - July 6 was mentioned."

I added the dates after afishinado made me aware that I'd omitted them.
