Going to Kettle Creek, Leidy Bridge. Will be there full week. Camp secured, food, room, fun.

If you would like to come, or stay a little. You know the drill! I will be standing on Leidy Bridge, Sunday at noon and Monday at noon. After that I am fishing, who knows where!

Couple pals are coming, who knows when but they will show up!

If you would like the adventure, show up! A place to stay if you like, good food and friendship!

Let's keep it simple. Simple is good.

Cabin, is not available for this week. Big mix up. I am disappointed, very let down! Well, I just don't know!

Lots of tiny fish in the Clinton County portion of Kettle. They do not do that stream justice anymore. In my opinion its not worth your trip unless you just go for the scenery.

I spent part of one day not far above Cross Fork and was generally impressed with the stocked trout that we were catching. Along with the stray wild fish. I am not sure why anyone would recommend not spending time in the Kettle Creek watershed if you had a week to do so? Yes it is a heavily stocked stream, but it is in a beautiful location, has generally good insect life and every trib holds wild trout for the most part.

I am sorry but if you can't enjoy the kettle creek watershed, you are missing out on the finer experiences PA has to offer....

I learned to fly fish on Kettle. I've ventured out into the surrounding valleys. The fish they put in Potter County come from a different hatchery then the Clinton County portion. If you were at Cross Forks those may be better fish since its in Potter. The scenery is great and the chance to see elk is neat too but as far as fishing goes there are better places then the Clinton County portion (Leidy Bridge) of Kettle.

I can agree with there being better places to fish than the Leidy bridge, however I don't think anyone is recommending that spot as the primary attraction. It was a meeting location in the OP. Again, if you can't be satisfied in the Kettle Creek watershed for a week of fishing then you have pretty high standards imo that are tough to top in PA.

The problem I have with most of Kettle is that its reliant on stocking. The majority of the creek just gets too low and warm. There are rarely holdover fish in most of the creek. If they don't stock nice fish in Kettle then the trip just isn't worth it for me. They put very small fish in the Clinton County portion of Kettle except for the few golden rainbows. I'd venture over to a stream that has the Keystone Select waters if stockies were your game and there's great scenery elsewhere as well.

A week on Kettle is like walking around with a full pocket of Diamonds.

Mix up at cabin hurt not a thing. Have key in hand for Big Pine Creek Cabin.

Fishing Big Pine for a week is like filling your boots with Gold!

Kettle does get warm and low, True. Kettle fish seem smaller, True. Hatches seem a little off, True. Know the underground springs and bigger fish are there.

One thing that has not changed. Nice, friendly people! Stop and see Phil at fly shop, Stop and see Kinney at store or bar, stop at Deb's for a pizza and beer. Shake hands and make friends. The fish are the bonus, the true catch is the great people you meet!

Been handing out leaders and putting them under windshield wipers for as long as I remember. Perhaps you got some.

This is a great place, all of it. Fishing is a small part of all. The memories, Kind of reminds me of that Rudolf the reindeer song. Silver and Gold!

I understand that the state fish for Clinton Co come from Bellefonte Hatchery, and these RT are fish that I have been fishing over all spring, as that hatchery also serves Lehigh Co in its entirety. Ten to eleven inchers seem to be common, and eleven inches is the well-publicized target for the state hatchery system across all stockings for the year. Oswayo Hatchery serves the Potter Co sections.

I've spent a lot of time on Kettle so far this year and, yes, there are a lot of small - no, tiny - trout in the Clinton Co. sections of Kettle. I don't believe these are PFBC hatchery fish since they didn't show up until the sportsmen's clubs began stocking. The small fish are from a co-op nursery. The PFBC stocked average sized fish as Mike indicated.

Even though a mix up at cabin on kettle, Pine Creek cabin will serve as resting place, to a bigger plan. Pine to Kettle! Oh yeah, baby, we are hitting Kettle and we look for fun! The sky is the limit. I am sure Cedar Run will run into play as well as Blackwell.

I will say, you never hit real fishing till you get to Ansonia and above.

I suspect this trip will be a trip of a lifetime, just like the one before it and all the ones before that!.

If you see a few guys with smiles from ear to ear, It's us! "We did it one more time". Thank you Pennsylvania! Thanks alot!

Who would have known a foul-up would be a :Home Run". There are foul balls in fly fishing, a natural. Be prepared to turn that natural into, "SUPERNATURAL". And, No Holds Barred!
