Folding Wading Staff

I got this folding, shock-corded, relatively inexpensive wading staff last year. It was like $40 or something. I mail ordered it from a fly shop in Oregon. Problem I have found is that, as I'm using it, soft bottoms pull hard enough that the sections separate. They snap right back together easily and readily, but I find it annoying. I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping. It's black. It's a wading staff with that hard foam round grip and a wrist strap. I used it 2 times.

I have two Hammer folding staffs that I encountered this issue with. Rubbed the ferrules with a candle and have not had an issue since then. Seems counterintuitive, but it has worked for 5 or more years now.
