I was on Fishing Creek near Orangeville, PA on April 15th in the morning. A good hatch occurred of mayflies. They were a darker brown color with darker shaded brown wings and in the size range of 12 to 14s. All of the flies had a bright yellow egg sack hanging off their rear under the tail. (I assume it was an egg sack). I did not have a camera with me so I have no photos. Does anyone know which type of mayfly would have a bright yellow egg sack? They were not caddis since they did not have laid back wings when on the water. I am going to tie some up with the colors I saw and a bright yellow ball under the tail and want to know what to name them. Maybe a dark Hendrickson?
Any assistance is appreciated.
