Anybody have any advice on buying a fly tying vise? Looking to spend from about 50 to 150 $ New to this game and looking for a clue???? :-D

Renzetti Traveler 2200 Series...

I have a Renzetti Traveler vise. Bought it used, so I can't speak for its price, but its a quality vise. Wish it was a little higher, but that may have been changed with the newer models.

After tying for 25 years, I finally broke down and bought a regal - well worth the $165 IMO

DanVise is my suggestion. For 80 bucks ???? I have ties thousands of flies on the darn thing.

I use this vise
Regal FHC-0: Inex C-Clamp Model Features:

Designed for the Begineer or Newer Tyer, This has all the famous hold holding features of it's cousins at a nicer price.

* Fixed Head
* Adjustable hook tension knob
* Lifetime warranty
* Spring Material Holder
* The famous "Regal lever design"- quick and easy to use.

The nice thing about the Renzetti traveler is that its small and breaks down easy. I would recommend a clap and extention pole. This way you can attach the vise on a picnic table or bench.
