Yeah, it’s been one of those years. Multiple fishing trips cancelled because the target fisheries were and or are totally blown out. The cicada thing has my head spinning just like it did during the last emergence in central PA. Thank goodness the carp are on the mulberries - at least I’ve had that to fall back on to stick some big fish on the fly. But as far as trout fishing goes I swung into one of my favorite Central PA headwater streams for a short outing earlier in the week and the water was up and cool and pretty clear and the native brookies were definitely hungry. Glad I did it because I kind of just needed that. Cute little buggers!!
