gees guys, how about holding back the criticism of his running the shop in this post. Start another if you need to weigh in on the pros and cons of his business

Certainly not criticizing. I was happy to see him keeping the shop going and rooting for his success. He will be missed.

I don't think anyone was criticizing the shop....just talking about the reality of the situation. I love FFP, my favorite brick and mortar store.

Mine too. It's been my preferred shop since I've picked up the fly rod. And there is a high chance I'm buying a rod from them next weekend....or waders....

My son and I both have a number of waders from FFP. Seems each year he went to PSU he forgot his waders and had to buy another pair. So, it became a ritual to send him over to FFP for another pair rather than me driving 175 miles back up to State College.

Very sad. I stopped in just the week before. He told me he moved there 22 years ago. We talked about the last cicada hatch. Sad.
