Dauphin County League of Chumbsmen heading north to Seven Mountains June 13-15.

A group of us will be staying at Seven Mountains Campground in Spring Mills this weekend. (June 13-15)

This is the same campground of the Jamboree, for those that were able to enjoy that.

This is an open invite to come join us if you want to take part in a fun weekend getaway.

Hope to see some of you on on the water or at the campground.

He was a mighty fine fellow of the PA North woods, ol' Kermie. One time, I was chase up a tree by a bear, and once up in the tree, I was bitten by a copperhead. Kermie heard the commotion while the was trying to fish and he left the crick to see what all of the fuss. There, he saw me in the tree, and the bear eating all of my York Peppermint Patties. Kermie looked that bear right in the face and he said, "bear, you're gonna pay for that!" And he hit that bear right in his face, and he chased him right up on outta there. He then climbed up the tree, brought me down, and drove me to the nearest hospital almost 40 miles away to tend my snake bite. Yes, what a fellow. What a chap, that ol' Kermie O'Houlihan.

Please, fellas, pour one out for him while you're there. Maybe, since I live so close by, I'll just come grieve his loss with you. What campsites yinz' fellas at?

2025 Dauphin County League of Chubsmen Cicada Fest has begun. It's wet, but the fish are biting.

Those are some chubby fish for sure. They brought a bucket to a buffet.

We were looking for the fallfish/chubs but everytime we thought we had a big fallfish on, it was just another brown trout, unfortunately.

We aren't from the area, so if someone could point us in the direction of a waterways with fallfish/chub and less intrusive species it would be appreciated.

Afternoon found us a few bass, a yellow perch and a ton of crappie.

The streams up here are blown out and chocolate mess so its been interesting thus far,but the bite is on.
