Conodoguinet Creek [Mechanicsburg]

I think there are some good fallfish up that way as well. There is not a ton of public access though. Short stretches

Yeah, a lot of it’s posted. It looks really nice, and like it should have wild fish, but I’ve only caught a few stockers. The trib that flows between the TPike tunnels has some Brookies in it. Not a ton, but they are there.

Yea I have fished it multiple times and hiked up to the posted signs at the turnpike past the old lake bed and it is a low density stream but excellent habitat. I didn’t know that area is stocked, might have something to do with a recently reforested/reclaimed from a reservoir stream with great LWB/habitat not having high densities of brook trout.

I caught the stockers in the Connie itself. The mainstem Connie continues to the SW and goes through Letterkenny Reservoir. That’s what I assumed you meant.

The stream running between the TPike tunnels, and through that drained reservoir (used to be called Gunter Valley Res.) is Trout Run, a trib of the Connie, entering from the NE. I’ve only caught wild Brookies there, but not many of them.

Yea thats what I was talking about trout run. It looks pretty easily accessible for any Connie fish. I have never fished connie above the reservoir but saw its public land thats next on my list of places to try.
