Looking at some random videos of the day came across this. They called them shad flies. Type of mayfly I guess? Must be some trout rising under that bridge.

Hexagenias on the Mississippi River.

Probably some smallmouth and other warmwater fish rising, not trout.

People don't call Hexes shad flies here. Some people in PA call Green Drakes shad flies.

Also, there aren't shad in that region, so I wonder how they came up with the name shadfly.
