Sorry, Motorcycle guys I mean Bicycling...made you look!

That said, how many guys ride and fish? Is there anyone on the site interested in meeting for a ride along any one of the numerous rail to trails that run along many of our hallowed trout waters?

I am trying to ride/fish at least one trail a month. over the winter I want to keep it to the more productive spring creeks found in my area.

Let me know what you think.

Mods- if I should have posted this in meet-ups I apologize, I don't have a definite date I just kinda wanted to see what might come to fruition as far as interest. thanks in advance if it needed moved.

PhilC and I have talked about doing the Lehigh one to hit some spots.

I'm getting a little more serious in my shopping for a 29er to replace my 25 year old rockhopper. probably in the next month or so I'll bite the bullet and bring one home, and the first thing I'll do is make a rod holder for it!

If anyone would like to meet somewhere this month I am open to suggestions. the Letort has a nice trail.

any other suggestions?

also, what kind of bikes do you guys have or are looking at? Biker, want kind of 29er are you looking at?

theres a small shop in near me that sells giant, and the guy knocks quite a bit off the retail price, so I might end up with one. not gonna spend big bucks though, unless it comes with an engine!

same here, I had a nice trek 7000 mountain that I had to sell, frame was too small.

I'd like to build one and put a higher head and handle bars on it so I don't have to stoop over as far as I did with my trek. there's a shop I want to talk to about trying some bikes before I pull the trigger but I will get one this year. there's so many waters that have good trails beside them.

I could be into something like this. I just built this after my recent trip to utah destroyed my other bike.

BOSSHOG!!!! thats what I'm talking about! sweet!

where do you look for components to build a bike?

Depends on what you are looking for. Some of that stuff was taken off of my old bike(specialized stumpjumper) But i like SRAM, Raceface, and diety. I have a local bike shop that i like to support but other then that, search and internet for what you need and get what you need for as cheap as you can

Are you looking for anything in particular?

As far as the frame, going to and from utah i happened to run into the national sales manager for Morpheus cycles. He was local to me, allowed me to demo a bike and hooked me up with a good price on the frame, rear shock, and wheels.

I need to find a big 29er frame for on the cheap. I'm 6' 250 (but dropping) with long legs, so I'm thinking a 21" or 22" frame. I just need to find more sites with bike info.

So anyone open to next Saturday?

My bike is a hybrid, good for packed trails, no shocks. I just got my son a similar bike from the Barto Bikeman for short money $130.
Saturday may work

Here is mine.
