After getting a little wet during my last steelhead trip, fishing in 950 CFS, I went home to re-patch the old waders and realized that I was out of aqua seal and patches!!
Then, while searching online for a place to run for another repair kit, I was watching TV and saw the info-mercial for that gutter repair spray, FLEX SEAL! Then it hit me, Wow, flexible spray on rubber in a can!! I ran out to my local AS SEEN ON TV store and grabbed a can.
I turned my old waders inside out and covered all of the seams and pin holes with the FLEX SEAL. It took about 4 hrs to totally dry, then I went out to my local stream to test it out!
WOW!!!!!!! DRY AGAIN!!!! Pretty cool stuff. Stays flexible even after it dries.
Hope this helps others with soggy socks while they wait for Santa to bring them a new pair of waders!!!
